It's funny how the dialog is a bad thing when it has to be read, but when it's voice-acted, we seem to skip it more often then not.

Nat - I totally agree with you on the dialog... I neglected to write about that. A few times I've "accidentally" talked to Rosalina - "Doh! Now I'm in for two minutes of DIALOG-A-DIALOG-A-DIALOG-A-DIALOG-A-DIALOG-A-DIALOG-A-.

Although, I did finally notice that holding down A for a few seconds right after you begin speaking to someone speeds past the dialog at 5x speed.

I was rereading this for uh...various reasons and I came across the youtube link.

that guy has some skills. In world 8 he passes time by showing off. Simply brilliant.

Thanks for the review, monkey. I want this game.

@Nat - I have heard about all the dialogue. That is a bummer. It's a Mario game, not Final Fantasy!

Great review. However,...

Let me preface:

I like the game

I'm only half way in beating it

With that here are my opinions (some with proof, some without):

Although fun to play, this game is not the Second Coming of You Know Who like some are making it out to be.

I actually thought that the latest Mario DS platform game to be funnier and have more "wow!" moments

The controls: yes, they fit. However, the last five games I've bought for the Wii require the remote and the nunchuck to play. I think it's time for Nintendo to start shipping the 'chuck with the console and packaging it with every remote. I almost leave them connected all the time.

Read dialogue. Hit A. Read dialogue. Hit A. Read dialogue. Hit A. Read dialogue. Hit A. Read dialogue. Hit A. Read dialogue. Hit A. Read dialogue. Hit A. Read dialogue. Hit A. Read dialogue. Hit A. (Remember when it was just, "Sorry, Mario, but your princess is in another castle."?) The last couple of Mario games (any type except for maybe the DS title) have done this. The Paper Mario games are the only ones where it has proven to be funny, well, at least on the Gamecube version.

I do like how the difficulty ramps up
