Weekend Gaming

November 7, 2008 by Tony 8 Comments

After seeing Brock’s over-flowing stack of games, I wanted to know what people are playing this weekend. I’ve got Fallout 3, Disgaea DS and (when it shows up) Gears of War 2.

This looks like it’s going to be one of the first crummy-weather weekends of the fall, so I’m planning on getting in as much gaming as I can.

What will you be playing?

Gears 2, Fable 2, Fallout 3 and the Left 4 Dead demo. When I’m not doing weekend work, that is. 🙁

I’m lost in Fable 2…hard to pull away. Might dip into Warhammer or LOTRO a bit though.

I wish I didn’t have to preorder L4D to try the demo. I’d like to take it for a spin on my ancient rig and see how it holds up. Oh well. Gears 2 Horde Mode for me, I guess.

Dang! I missed my chance to get a free key code for Left 4 Dead 🙁 Gamestop was giving them out.

Some LittleBigPlanet and reading a book that is a requirement for work.

I’ve also bought a new game but I’m not sharing what because I’ve reached a new low. I shouldn’t even have bought it. I have five games now to play and PoP is on the way. I hope to complete most of them before December.

Oh, and I will also be eating Dill Pickle flavored David Brand sunflower seeds. Do not knock them until you’ve tried them. Our local Menards are selling them for $1 a bag. I bought four. One to eat and one to stock up on.

Gears of War just showed up for me, so once the kids are tucked in bad, I’ll be popping that one it. Not sure how much I’ll actually play it, though because I really want to get back to Fallout 3. That game is AMAZING.

But I definitely want to check out Horde Mode, so if you see me online, drop me a note if you want to play.

@Nat – A new low? Did you break down and finally get Barbie Horse Adventures?

Dill flavored sunflower seeds actually sounds delicious.

Fallout 3, Rock Band, and Rock Band 2

The drums are a real challenge for the kids. Not so much for Dad though seeing as how I used to play a real drum set many years ago. Trying to get them to understand rhythm and patterns has helped but I think they’re still struggling.

I, on the other hand, absolutely love doing the drum parts.
