Magna Carta 2 = A made-in-Korea JRPG (does that make sense) that’s a follow up to a very lackluster PS2 game of the same ilk. I hate the art style, so pass.
Also, from all accounts, Alpha Protocol is delayed until next spring (or was it June?). That was the latest I’d heard and I can’t see them releasing it in a week or two with almost no real push.
I’m getting Nostalgia for the DS (Airships + JRPG + alt-1920’s? Sold!), Demon’s Souls and Uncharted 2 for PS3 and Brutal Legend for something.
Then I need to lock my credit card in a safe and forget the combination. I’d love to get Half Minute Hero but not for $30.
Oh, I imported Afrika a month or two ago and it’s nice, but I’m not sure I’d drop $50+ on it, esp. when you can still get the import copy with full english localization for about half the price. Plus it’s nowhere NEAR as good a showpiece for the PS3 as it had been touted (which is probably why it took so long to get over here).
Tony says
Bummer to hear that MC2 is a pass. A KJRPG (just made that up!) would have been interesting.
Brock says
No. No it’s not. I’ve tried a few Korean RPGs and they’re usually middling to poor at best. And don’t get me started on their MMOs. They’re almost all pure grind-fests, though I’ve heard nice things about Aion.
Brock says
Wait a second, where did Way Of The Samurai 3 come from? Seriously? I really liked the other games in the series.
I need to stop looking at this list.
Jason O says
Amazon must have updated sometime late this afternoon, because Alpha Protocol is now showing May 2010.
Argh! That was the game I was looking forward to the most. Pretty sure it was still listed for October just yesterday.
Brock says
Yeah. It looks like Alpha Protocol won’t be in our hot little hands until mid-2010. That’s ok. I’d rather they polish it and fix the issues they say that they’ve found than rush it to market early.
Jonathan Yeong says
Totally agree…but that still doesn’t stop me from wanting it now!
Brock says
My copy of Demon’s Souls is in the mail and hopefully will be here this morning.
Cannot WAIT… to get my butt kicked repeatedly. Sigh.
