Marvel vs. Capcom 2 has always been unbalanced sadly. I used to play it all the time at my local arcade when I was younger. I quickly found which characters were the most powerful and just owned the game. Made lots of teenagers mad to say the least. Ah the good o'l days. Splosion Man and Shadow Compley are definitely the best arcade games this summer hands down.

Good write-up, Will. I picked up Splosion, Trials, and Shadow Complex. I really need to get back into Splosion and SC, as I haven't finished either of them. I had the same experience with Trials, and since I value my controllers and my sanity more than the achievements, I quit playing soon after the medium levels. I can appreciate a little "try and die" action, but Trials HD takes it to the extreme. It's good to know I'm not missing much from the other games.

Nothing frustrates me more than your experience with Marvel vs. Capcom 2. Online matches where players use the unbalanced, cheap fighters are a pain. Almost to the point where I can't play those type of games.

Shadow Complex has been great so far, and I definitely want to give Splosion Man a try.

I only picked up Splosion Man and Shadow Complex. Both of the were deals in my book.

I passed on Trials HD because I already had it on Steam. I didn't find it to be that hard, but maybe using the keyboard was easier?

Great post Will.

I appreciate the insight into the games that had some of my interest.
