In My Hands

Actually, on my ears:

Ear Force X41

These things are pretty amazing. I’m personally not really an audiophile, but I do pride myself on thinking I can at least discern the difference between stereo sound pumped through my television’s speakers and some high quality (even if it’s simulated) Dolby Surround Sound. And these boys do that in spades.

I’m playing Skyrim with a whole new outlook on the game. The ambient sounds are incredibly detailed and the crescendos of the battle theme during a fight with a dragon are a treat. I sometimes just sit and listen as the title track plays. It sounds so rich.

I’ve heard that multiplayer chat is also greatly enhanced with these headsets but I have yet to put that to the test. I hope to get some Borderlands in this week and I’ll be able to report on the validity of those claims.

  1. Nice to hear that those are actually good headphones. I’ve been burned before with wireless headphones but would love to get a good pair (though I’m leery of the cost that would entail). I’ve seen these around but wasn’t sure how they stacked up.

    Concider my interest piqued.
