Buckeye Blogging, Week #3 (2-1)

September 18, 2005 by Tony 1 Comment

I was out of town all weekend visiting family and we got home late, so this will be a quick Buckeye Blog.

I watched the first 2.5 quarters of the game and listened to the rest (waiting for a parade) and what I saw and heard was mostly positive. The offense still seems to be trying to figure out who it is. While the stability of having a #1 QB seems to have made the talking heads happy, Smith’s throwing ability scares me. He’ll be fine but I get nervous when he cocks his arm back to throw.

The defense doesn’t worry me at all. If you take away the first play SDSU scored on and the defense only gives up 120 yards total offense. That is domination, plain and simple. They held them to 13 yards rushing. This Buckeye defense is one of the best (if not the best) in the country.

I wish I couldn’t have seen my game. Pins and needles the whole time. Oh well, there go title hopes, but it was a good game. Too bad they didn’t decide to play until the 3rd. Kudos to Michigan State.
