I picked Texas a month ago (I also picked Penn State by a field goal, but who’s keeping score? Of course, I also said OSU would win big and Ted Ginn Jr. would have a big game. Man, I need to be betting on these games!). I’ve been going back and forth with my brother-in-law about this game. He said USC by 14. I said no fricken way, Texas by 8. In the end, I took Texas and the points. Like I said, I love being right.

I logged in just to comment on Leinhart’s remark. Trust the buttonmasher to beat me to it. Just like Miami, USC may not be able to recover from the loss. The simularities between the two team’s are many, winning streaks, defending national champs, arrogant QBs, etc. etc. Where was Miami this year? Some where below Georgia I think, oh, and not just geographically. Granted Ohio State didn’t keep it’s #1 title long, but, gee, I can’t decide what’s more fun, being a dynasty or being a spoiler… Since Matt couldn’t say it, I will – Nice game Longhorns.

I think the entire BCS bowl games were a hoot. Last night’s games was the best.
Bryan – Yeah, USC will struggle next year losing most of their stars. But they won’t be missed. I’m still amazed that Leinart would say something like that.
ag – the BCS bowls were good, but the officiating for most of this year’s bowl games (including the Rose Bowl) was horrible!

So I search your vast archives for your bold predicition of Texas beating USC. Surprise surprise I cant find it anywhere. What I do find is a little post by me where I describe why we will beat ND. (I was correct on all my points by the way) I also stated my case as to why Texas will beat USC and I did call USC and I qoute “THE MOST OVERRATED TEAM IN FOOTBALL HISTORY) And your response to me was and I qoute “Overrated yeah right, This is the best college offense anyone has ever seen.” They are however and this is based on the entire seasons stats and the rose bowl the second best offense of this YEAR. And thier defense is worse than ND’s and we know how bad they were. I do know one thing for sure I know Tony was happy to see ESPN (his favorite channel in the history of TV) spend millions of dollars and 2 weeks of air time and webspace to compare this years USC team to the 10 other best national champs of all time (2002 OSU was ranked 9th) Only to have it all blow up in thier faces. Will they ever learn to let a story develop before making it thier #1 storyline for weeks. I.E. the Maurice (give me your cellphone) clarett lies that ran a million times leading up to the alamo bowl last year.
P.S. If by chance Vince Young happens upon this website or reads it daily. I have one thing to say to you LEAVE. Go to the NFL now. Do not pass go, do not collect 200 dollars. Go thier and get your millions and rent a boat for you and your friends and get arrested for lewd acts like your boy dante culpepper.
