I’ve done Wiis, you know

July 16, 2008 by Nat 3 Comments

It now looks like you’ll actually get to swing that sledgehammer. Capcom announced Dead Rising for the Wii in Japan.

Considering the game kinda bombed in Japan, I would not be surprised to see it in the States. I would also not be surprised to see it budget priced.

Thank you, 4cr, for keeping your eyes peeled and catching this announcement in all the E3 (non)hoopla.

It probably bombed in Japan because no one with SDTV could actually read any text on screen.

I’ve tried playing the game and so long as they’re not telling me anything useful it’s fine. Of course, the game is done just horribly if you’re not fighting zombies. That’s what I hate about the game is that the best part has almost nothing to do with the story.

I wanted to club Otis. It was highly unnecessary. The game could have been about survival and I would have been fine with it.

Just the game mechanic alone would have been a good story. Let the gamer play it how they wanted. If you want to hide in a closet the 72 hours, so be it.

You’re just not rewarded for it.

Hmm, my favorite Dead Rising weapon was the 2×4, swinging that thing with the Wiimote sounds satisfying.
