Media Play has a bunch of games for $8.99 a piece (but apparently not online). Not just crappy, years-old sports games, either. I’m thinking about picking up Eternal Darkness (Gamecube) and X-Men Legends (Xbox). Not too shabby for less than twenty bucks.

Why can’t I access Media Play’s site? On both my notebook and PC with two different browsers (IE and FF), both with low security settings, I get the same error:
“We’re sorry, but to shop our site you will need to enable cookies.”
As a web developer by day, it annoys me to no end when I find sites that exhibit ridiculous behavior like this. I should be able to, at a minimum, *see* the site, regardless of my security settings (which really isn’t the problem here, but whatever).
Anyway, off my soapbox. You have done yourself a grave disservice by not owning Eternal Darkness years ago. It is an excellent game. I think you will really enjoy it. The game is freaky scary at times, and I love its Cthulu-style story.

Strange, the site worked okay for me, but I’ll chalk that up to using Opera 🙂
I actually rented ED a couple years ago and really liked it but never had a chance to get back to it. At such a cheap price I couldn’t pass it up. I look forward to finishing it.

Eternal Darkness is such a great game. I’ve played through it a couple of times, and finishing games multiple times is rare for me. I’m slowly working through the third play through, so I can get Eternal Mode, but Eternal Darkness gaming only happens when I haven’t got anything else to do. Still, it’s fab.

The link posted has some cruft on the end. If I just typed in http://www.mediaplay.com I get in just fine. It’s probably has something to do with TOny’s shopping cart:-)

Fixed. Thanks, Hieronymus
