Nintendo and the Wii are bringing gaming to the masses. From the description on Flickr:
This is a picture of the marquee at the Schaumburg Township District Library advertising a Wii program. The aim of this program is to bring together multiple generations, in this case, through videogames. The library has embraced gaming and has hosted several gaming programs, tournaments, and groups primarily for children and young adults. This new program will be a great way to bring in these kids’ parents and grandparents.

You may laugh, but we just moved from Streamwood/Schaumburg and this was our local library! (Which is amazing, BTW).
Now our local library is 800 sq. feet. In some ways I’ll miss the big city.
My son was signed up for one just before we moved. He’s an amazing 4-year-old Excite Truck player.

Hey! Thanks for the linkage… I was messing around with some songs a few weeks ago, and I thought it would be fun to make some 8-Bit versions of some more current songs. Thanks again for the link, and if you have any requests, let me know!

@Nat – That library does sound very progressive. Wii nights with the grandparents is awesome!
@8B-DJ – Glad to link it. I definitely enjoyed the Master of Puppets 8-bit piece.
