It’s time for the monthly video game releases for January. Not a ton of killer titles, but Burnout Paradise is great way to start out the year. Advance Wars on the DS also will probably be added to my collection. Take a look. Think you’ll pick anything up this month?

Rainbow Island: Revolution
Alex Taldren says
You forgot to list Savage 2! Of course, I don’t blame you. That game has been suffering from poor marketing since the original.

I’m interested to see how NitroBike, No More Heroes, Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games and Endless Ocean go. I don’t think that any of them will be particularly brilliant but still great games.
I think that Burnout will probably be the best game of the month.
Rainbow Island: Revolution is just a port of the PSP game, right? Or the other way around.
Nat says
My son and I have put almost 20 hours into the Burnout Paradise demo.
It’s reserved now.
Tony says
@Alex – Magic wands and Miniguns? I’m there! I hadn’t heard of Savage before, so thanks for pointing that one out!
@Daniel – No More Heroes is getting decent reviews, so I’ll definitely be checking that one out.
Daniel Primed says
Yeah, I’m not too sure about No More Heroes. After years of anticipation for Killer 7 I was ultimately let down with it’s gameplay. Although NMH looks to be an improvement, its still style over substance. Probably worth the money but I don’t think that I’ll pick it up.

No More Heroes has style AND substance! Killer 7 was crap, looked cool, wasn’t any fun. No More Heroes looks cool (not AS cool as Killer 7) but is really fun. the combat is awesome, the overworld is a little lacking, but the missions and boss fights are AWESOME.
