Weekend Gaming

February 16, 2008 by Tony 5 Comments

In lieu of a real post (of which I’m working on a few, promise!), what are you going to be playing this weekend?

Due to my self-imposed ban on buying new games until I finish something I already own, I’ll be working my way through Pokemon on the DS (I am very close to “finishing” it) and Bioshock on the 360. I was probably 3/4’s of the way through before Halo 3 came out and never got back to finishing it.

When I finally do finish a couple games, Burnout Paradise and Call of Duty 4 are at the top of my list of games to get.

What will you be playing?

    Hm.

I’ll be playing Tylenol Cough and Cold Syrup, MusinexD, and lots and lots of water.

I’m still suffering under the worst cold ever. Going on two weeks now.

Other than that, I’ve had a renaissance of sorts with Puzzle Quest on the DS and the PC.

I’ve got five (5!) posts for the site in my queue. I just don’t have the effort or strength to finish. Hopefully, this will all clear up and I can get rolling.

I hope no one else is or gets sick.

Professor Layton & The Curious Village, Lost Odyssey and Rock Band are at the top of my list.

I also snagged Audiosurf yesterday and it’s a fantastic music game. It’s like Beats meets Frequency.

well, I WISH I could PSP games, but uh, the one I got from ebay was a brick, irreparably. (for those in the “know”: reflashing firmware with a pandora didnt fix it, and even replacing the non specific IDStorage keys in the NAND didnt do anything) So the eBay seller is taking it back, full refund, already bought another PSP from eBay, but I gotta wait for it to come =/

Anyway, I’ll be playing Professor Layton, fun game. Maybe a few Xbox games (Mercs, Ninja Gaiden Black, Burnout 3)

Hopefully my new PSP will arrive soon 😀

I’m all twitchy over a new game right now, which is ri-frickin-diculous considering how many games I have barely touched in my library.

So I am forcing myself to either finish Transformers or stop playing it. Not a great game, but I kind of like certain aspects enough to keep from putting it down. I am redoing Crackdown because I’ve decided to migrate everything over to my X-Box Live account and started playing the game on my non-Live account. Oddly, I’m having trouble whoopin’ some baddies that I previously beat no problem.

I usually have three games going at once, but I can’t decide if now is the time to finish one of my older X-Box games, or start one of the games I bought recently that I haven’t started yet. I lieu of actually making a choice I keep going back to Test Drive: Eve of Destruction which is my current “go to” game for when I don’t want to really try that hard.

I’ve been playing AssCreed for the first time, and I’m really digging it. I get some of the complaints, but ultimately it’s a great game and unlike just about anything else I’ve played.

Aside from that, I’m also booting up CivIII and Sims 2 again for some relaxing PC gaming.
