It’s that time again, the long list of monthly releases. July brings its yearly edition of NCAA Football and not a whole lot else. The 3DS has some interesting titles and The Secret World looks promising, but I think I’ll be spending most of my July playing Diablo III and NCAA 13.
On to the releases:
Week of July 3rd
Test Drive: Ferrari Legends
Week of July 10th
NCAA Football 13 – I seemed to have fallen into a pattern lately of buying the NCAA game every other year, and I think I’ve enjoyed them much more this way. I skipped 12, so I definitely will be picking up NCAA 13.

The Last Story – I have to plead ignorance on this, but I’ve heard a lot of people talk about The Last Story, I just don’t know what the fuss is. If you’re picking this up, I’d love to hear what this game has in store.

I’m getting Theatrhythm today. It looks like the Ouendan/Elite Beat Agents had a baby with Final Fantasy and has been getting some pretty great reviews.
The 3DS really does have a pretty strong month. That Rhythm Thief game looks interesting (though I might resist for now) and Heroes Of Ruin is supposed to be a great Diablo-esque loot-a-thon.
As for The Last Story, it’s getting all sorts of chatter because it’s a great JRPG that almost didn’t get a NA release (much like Xenoblade). Unlike Xenoblade, it came out relatively recently in Japan and Europe and doesn’t look quite as dated as Xenoblade does. Can’t wait!

Oh man if you invoke the Ouendan name, I’m immediately interested. Of course this involves the purchase of a new system, something I’m not quite ready to do yet. I don’t even know how much longer I’ll be holding on to my DSes.

Spelunky. Spelunky. Spelunky.
I remember raving about it here a while back.
Tony says
Yes, I clearly remember that because you hooked me on the PC version big time. I’ve been waiting for this day for a long time. I’ll be downloading it tonight!
(Also, I haven’t figured out a way to incorporate XBLA games into the list, but I definitely need to).
