So I propose a thought experiment that is popular among sports pundits. In the sports world, the question usually is, if you were starting a, say, basketball team, who would you pick to build around? Most would say that would want to build around a superstar like LeBron James or Kevin Durant. So let’s take that experiment to your own personal Zombie Survival Squad. You can choose others, but you have to pick either Daryl or Treese as your foundation. Your Zombie Killing Captain, as it were.
I don’t want to bias the vote, but I’ll tell you why I’d go with Tyreese. You know what a spirit animal is, right? Well, if there was an equivalent zombie killing device, the claw hammer would be mine. So it’s no surprise that when I saw Tyreese splitting some zombie skulls with one, it was a match made in Zombie heaven.
It doesn’t hurt that Tyreese has got a softer side, protecting his little sister and even has some time for romance. But Tyreese is the captain of my squad because he is a round mound of hammer pounds. I’ll go to battle with Tyreese wielding my own Estwing, cutting a righteous swath of claw hammer destruction.
So who would you pick? For the purposes of the poll, I’d like to keep it to just Daryl or Tyreese, but if it’s someone else, let us know in the comments!

Week of December 3rd
– This “Day One Edition” business sort of bothers me. Do I pick up this edition even though I probably won’t be getting a Day One Console? This is a decision I should not be making.
– A week away from the launch of a new generation, play this classic from five generations ago.
– Has Mario Party been fun lately? I enjoyed the Gamecube version, but just barely. It has potential but it just hasn’t been great lately.
– Ubisoft kicks things off with the first of many compilation discs.
– In addition to these multi-game offerings are also “Game of the Year” offerings, and I would concur that Borderlands 2 is a Game of the Year, and if you haven’t picked up Borderlands 2 yet, this is a great chance to do so.
– There seems to be quite a bit of value in the disc. I may pick it up just for RE6.
– Arkham Origins looks like it might be the last day-one purchase for me for this generation. But it should be a good one.
– As Kevin McCallister once said, “It’s for the kids”.

– Here it is, my white whale. After much consideration, I have not yet purchased a Wii U. I don’t know if I ever will. If that happens, I will always rue the day I never got to play Wind Waker HD. Wind Waker is in my top 3 video games of all time and playing it in HD might vault it to #1.
– The 3DS is really coming into its own. With Etrian Odyssey, Batman and Pokemon X&Y, it’s quite the contender.
– Harvest Moon, you say?! Another chance to link my 
– I still hold out hope that we’ll get Disgaea on the 3DS, but that looks less and less likely to happen.
– I finally finished Diablo III on Hell difficulty the other day and still enjoying the PC version. As much as I love Diablo 3 and my Xbox 360, I think I’ll stick with my PC version.
– “She kicks high”
– The creme de la creme.
– This, along with HD Zelda Wind Waker next month have me SERIOUSLY considering a Wii-U. SERIOUSLY considering.
