Hopefully no explanation is needed, but here it is anyway: Wii Darts.
Brings real feelings and great fun when playing dart games on Wii, such as “PDC World Championship Darts 2008”
Are there other dart games?!
Yeah, that’s not going to go over well.

It’s almost as if Penny Arcade decide to provide Team Buttonmashing with jerseys:
I love these shirts.
I didn’t find this until recently and wanted to share it, but I couldn’t access my site yesterday (lame, I know). So now I can present to you a link to the Periodic Table of Video Games. It’s pretty much as awesome as it sounds. A lot of clever thought went into this one.
I can name almost all of them.

Sorry, this will probably be the most cliched and posted blog title this weekend, but I couldn’t resist. I just got back from a 12:30 PM showing. My brother and I were two of maybe eight people there. I’m just going to be up front and say this contains one spoiler. It’ll be marked.

First, some personal info:

My oldest son has enjoyed my hobby over the last two years. In the last six months he was ordered by his eye doctor to play games for 30 minutes a day while wearing a patch. (How cool of a doctor is that? Prescribing games.) As he’s gotten older we have begun to play games together. Our Wii’s been dormant for a while and he’s been enjoying games on the PS3 and 360.
We usually have good discussions on games and I figured I’d try and share some of them. Of course, he clams up when I pull out the recorder. I’ve tried to transcribe his grammatical pauses and fluctuations for emphasis. It’s all over the place, but here was our first “interview”:
So, Jack, do you like to play video games?
Yes
Yeah? What video game systems do we have?
Umm…Xbox and Wii and umm…the DVD one.
Playstation?
Yeah

Lifehacker has the answer.
DeviantArt member Orioto’s high-resolution, you-won’t-believe-your-eyes paintings of classic video games for your desktop—a must-see for any gaming enthusiast.
His work, which has been featured in Nintendo Power magazine, is based on the idea of what high-definition versions of classic video games might look like with today’s powerful gaming platforms, with stunning results. Click each image to download the full version, or hit the link at the bottom for the full gallery.

A lot more cool images at the site.

I just realized that it has been far too long since I posted anything around these parts. I intend to rectify that situation shortly. I spent the better part of the last month and a half (108 hours in game time) playing through Persona 4 and will have a review up shortly. I’ve also got a review of The Maw (XBLA), Flower (PSN) and a few other gems tucked away for a rainy day.
It’s nice to finally beat a Persona game though!

What is the queue for again?
I was sent a game 6th or 7th in my list. The previous games all said “High Availability” and were games released almost a year ago.
Proof: D-Pad Hero. Just watch the video. (via waxy)
