Carnival of Gamers

Carnival of Gamers update

January 28, 2007 by Tony Leave a Comment

I know it’s short notice, but if you’re interested in participating in February’s Carnival of Gamers, get your submissions in right away. It’s less than a week away. If you’ve already submitted, you’re golden, as they’ve been received and forwarded to the Carnival host. If not, send it in!

Jason of jason-preston.com has volunteered to host the Carnival on short notice. Big thanks to everyone who agreed, it was nice to see everyone so willing to help out. We’ll be filling out some of the other spots for the future with some new bloggers, which I’m excited about. I’ll be updating the Carnival page soon.

Come and join the Carnival!

No January Carnival

January 3, 2007 by Tony Leave a Comment

I know this is no way to start off the new year, but with my busy holiday schedule, I never lined up a January host. So the Carnival will be taking a break this month. If you’ve previously volunteered to host a carnival, I’ll be contacting with you shortly. If you’re interested in hosting a carnival, drop me a line. You can use the Contact page to do so.

Keep an eye on the Carnival HQ page for updated information.

Carnival of Gamers #20

December 7, 2006 by Tony Leave a Comment

Michael has posted the December edition of the Carnival of Gamers. Check it out for this month’s blogging round-up. There were a lot of good submissions.

(Seems like there something up with the links in the blog post. I sent Michael an email, I’m sure they’ll get fixed. Fixed!)

Carnival of Gamers #20 coming soon

December 4, 2006 by Tony Leave a Comment

There’s only a few days left to get your submissions in to Michael for the December Carnival. Don’t pass up the opportunity to achieve blogging fame and fortune!

Or at least fame. The fortune thing hasn’t really happened to any Carnival participants yet.

Carnival of Gamers, right around the corner.

October 26, 2006 by Tony Leave a Comment

Man, it seems like I just finished reading last month’s Carnival when the next one is almost upon us! I blink a couple times and boom, Jason’s ready to take over as November’s Carnival Host. The carnie emails are on their way, Jason, I promise!

Head over the HQ for submission questions.

Carnival of Gamers #18

October 5, 2006 by Tony 2 Comments

… is now on display at Man Bytes Blog, presented by Corvus. In grand fashion, I might add.

Since we took a break from the monthly Carnival, there were quite a few submissions. Glad to see the Carnival still going strong. The next stop will be at Unfettered Blather in November. The next few hosts after that are being reshuffled again, but I should be able to straighten those out soon enough. A couple more volunteers have also come forward to help with the Carnival, which is great to see.

As always, you can Digg the Carnival here.

Carnivals and Annivesaries

August 14, 2006 by Tony 5 Comments

Listen up, Carnies! The Carnival of Gamers #17, at CheapAssGamer.com is almost upon us. Get your submissions in now so they’re included in this month’s Carnival. I’ve seen the submissions thus far, and they’re good, but we can always use more. Now that the host’s are starting to use more editorial control over what gets in and what doesn’t, it’s good to see the quality material coming through. I hope it continues.

On another note, today marks the 9th year that Mrs. buttonMasher has put up with me and my gaming ways. We’ve come along way from our 1-bedroom apartment where she fell asleep listening to the clickety-click of the mouse while I played Age of Empires with the headphones on. Now she puts up with multiple consoles, stacks of games, the clickety-click of blogging at all hours, and the bright light of the DS at night. At least I got her hooked on Brain Age!

Happy anniversary, shweetie!
