Once again, I missed a month of new releases. What better way to make it up than to get out June’s releases a day early!
Week of June 3rd
Ninja Gaiden II – Man, I’m torn on this one. I’ve heard mixed reviews so far and I’m not really one for punishingly hard games, so this may be a rental for me.
Lego Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures
Robert Ludlum’s The Bourne Conspiracy – The report from the brother-in-law on the Bourne demo was a meh, so I doubt I’ll get this one.
GRID – This one looks amazing but unfortunately will probably never make it to my 360. It’s a shame.
Incredible Hulk – I’ll see the movie, but I’ll probably pass on the game.
Kung Fu Panda – Ditto.
Week of June 10th
Deadiest Catch: Alaskan Storm – Seriously? A show about catching crabs? I don’t see how this can be a game, let alone a fun one.
Dragonball Z: Burst Limit
NASCAR 09
Don King Presents: Prize Fighter – I smell a GTA IV/Don King Boxing crossover here!
Week of June 17th
Supreme Commander – I thought this game already came out. Or maybe it has just been marketed like crazy or something. Not really sure.
Week of June 24th
Battlefield: Bad Company – I’ll be giving this one a try soon, thanks to Josh.
Guitar Hero Aerosmith – Where’s Guitar Hero Joe Satriani?
Top Spin 3
Alone in the Dark
Operation Darkness
Command & Conquer 3: Kane’s Wrath
Hellboy: The Science of Evil – I’m a huge fan of Hellboy. I like science, a lot, too. I will not, however being seeing how the two mix.
Wall-E – Again: movie, yes. Game, not so much.
Hail to the Chimp – No comment.

My Fashion Studio – Pre-ordered!

Guitar Hero: On Tour – This just really seems like a poorly thought-out idea. It does not look fun to play. At all.
Etrian Odyssey II: Heroes of Lagaard
Imagine Rock Star
Space Invaders Extreme – This one has been getting a lot of rave reviews. For 20 bucks, it seems like a good pick up.
Arkanoid – Same here. Seems like a lot of people are high on Arkanoid.
1 vs 100 – Words fail me.
Pocket Pets (Dogs, Cats, Hamsters more)
Tamagotchi Cornershop 3 – 3?! I missed the first Vet game, and now I learn I’ve missed the first two Cornershop games? I am ashamed.
Wacky Races: Crash and Dash
Black Sigil: Blade of the Exiled
Petz Dogz Fashion – TOO MANY ZEES! Whatever you do, do not look at the box art for this game. It’s like staring into the portal leading to The Nothing.
Suzuki Super-bikes II: Riding Challenge
Pony Luv – Must… not… snark…
Week of June 24th
My Weight Loss Coach – We already have Wii Fit. Why do we need another Nintendo product to tell us what we already know — that we’re a bunch of fatty-fat-fats?
Final Fantasy Tactics A2 – Finally, a game that doesn’t make me ashamed to own a DS. I will most likely get this one to pass some lonely nights while I’m on business travel this summer.
Cake Mania 2 – I’m getting mixed signals. Should I be trying to lose weight or gorge on cake?
Mega Man Star Force 2 Zerker X Ninja – Can anyone keep these Mega Mans (Men?) straight?
Midnight Play Pack
Mega Man Star Force 2 Zerker X Saurian – I give up.

Looks like another pretty decent month. I’m not sure what I’ll pick up, outside of Final Fantasy Tactics A2 but there look to be a few solid offerings.
Are you planning on picking anything up this month?
Nat says
Let’s see:
Final Fantasy Tactics A2 for DS.
Space Invaders Extreme for PSP.
GRiD for 360 if I want to splurge.
I have a backlog of nine games already that I purchased in May alone. Sigh.
If I have to pass, I get rid of the backlog and get FFT-A2 for sure.
Brock says
Final Fantasy Tactics A2 for the DS
Space Invaders Extreme for the PSP (maybe)
Metal Gear Solid 4 for the PS3 (I just snagged a PS3 this weekend and MGS4 will HOPEFULLY be the first game I buy for it… must resist urge to get the other 4 games worth buying for the system).
And that’s about it. I want to play Lego Indy and a bunch of the various movie tie-in games that are coming out this month, but the only ones that I can actually justify buying are the three mentioned above.
I actually really liked the Bourne Conspiracy demo but I have a feeling that the game will take about 5 hours to complete and then I’ll never touch it again. I get the God Of War vibe from the demo. A great roller coaster of a ride while it lasts but not worth $60…
I WISH I had a backlog of nine games…
Brock says
Oh, I missed Secret Agent Clank. I want to play that but I think I’ll wait until it’s a little cheaper than the expected $35-40. I waited to get Size Matters on the PSP until it hit the $20 price point and I’ll do the same for Clank.
Minas says
Monster Lab is creatively designed game and have some similarities with Bioshock.
Minas says
Big Beach Sports is good and the variety of sport games included make this game a good gift for the whole family.
Tony says
@Nat – Why not Space Invaders for the DS? Is there a difference?
@Brock – Nice pickup with the PS3. MGS4 does look shiny.
@Minas – Okay, I’m on to you, you little tricky spammy spammer.

I have FINALLY entered the truly “current gen” and ditched my Wii for a PS3. Walmart was having a sale that you get a $100 gift card with the purchase of any PS3, I got myself a 40gb, my parents are paying for half of the system, as my birthday is the 15th, and they FORGOT about my last two birthdays, I made sure they didn’t forget this one, or that they forgot the others.
Anyway, selling Wii, because honestly, there aren’t many good games. Sure there’s Mario this and Mario that, but I’ve never been a huge fan of the 1st party Nintendo series, they never seem to change, and get staler with each release.
Ordered Uncharted from amazons 1 day sale where it was $40, also ordered a HDMI-DVI-D cable so I can play on my 22″ Widescreen monitor in my room (720p)my dad just ordered a 52″ samsung 1080p, but it hasnt arrived, and everyone else is always using the TV, so I just play in my room. Might pull it out and grab an HDMI cable and run it on the TV when people come over.
Going to buy Warhawk from GS, CoD4 from a friend, and of course, MGS4.Oh, and a headset. I want GTAIV, but im not sure how i’m to go about telling my parents that, as right now they’re convinced any game in the GTA series consists of full on sex with a hooker, finished by shooting them in the face.
I plan to get Ratchet & Clank, SKATE, and Burnout Paradise when they’re a little cheaper. Might get Rainbow 6 Vegas, as it’s pretty cheap. I can borrow assassins creed and resistance from my friend, as he has them both.
For the past two days, I’ve just been downloading craploads of demos from PSN and playing them all. finally downloaded every demo i was interested in, now I have to play them all. I’ve had a great time just with the demos. I’m amazed by the graphics, even while playing on a 19″ 480i TV that turns all the colors green. but as soon as my cable arrives, I shall upgrade to glorious 720p! And as soon as my dad’s new TV arrives, I can try out 1080p on a 52″ TV!!! 😀 needless to say, I am very happy with my purchase, and do not regret throwing the skinny white gamecube in the trash. Actually, I didn’t
think gamecube had games like this. That is all.

Nat says
@Tony — What is the stylus going to offer me for a game the only goes left and right and one button press? The screen is bigger too. 😀
@flamingsquirrel — you have responsible parents. That’s, like, a cool thing. Trust me.
Tony says
@Nat – good point. The stylus certainly isn’t going to make your left and right movements any more accurate. It’s nice to have a choice.
@fs – What Nat said — listen to your parents. And congrats on the new PS3! I’m jealous. Welcome to the HD era.
