Normally I’d complain that February releases have nothing to get excited about, but man, this February is loaded! While I’m still on an RE2 kick, there is more than one option this month that I’ve got on a wishlist somewhere. At the very top of that wishlist is that Crackdown 3 is good, because I am going to give that a long look, possibly ending with me picking it up. Fingers crossed! On to this month’s releases:

What are you picking up this month?

– CLEARLY THE CAPITAL LETTERS ARE IMPORTANT
– September might as well be Destinytember, it’s launching on all platforms and it’s going to be the most played game for a while. I am debating on the PC version or the 360 version, but I think I’ll be giving Destiny a try, for sure.
– Assassin’s Creed: Middle Earth was showing really well earlier, but the news about this game has slowed to a trickle. Not sure that’s exactly a good thing.
– Not a great month for Nintendo this month, but I’ve read a lot of positive buzz coming out about Hyrule Warriors. I don’t think it will be a game for me, but will it be a boon for Nintendo?
– This font and title look dangerously close to Crusader King’s logo. Like “let’s see who we can trick into buying our game because they thought they were getting something associated with Crusader Kings” dangerous.
– Updated, up-rezzed versions of Metro aren’t a bad way to spend your July gaming budget…
– Go look at the boxart for this game. Seriously, go 
– I thoroughly enjoyed Crysis 2 and while I didn’t completely follow the story or understand what was happening, I would play Crysis 3 given the chance.
– Is Revengeance even a word?
– After reading the reviews and waxing a bit nostalgic for the unforgiving permadeath of Fire Emblem, I may be picking this up.
– If I get more Sudoku puzzles? SOLD.
– I don’t think Nintendo DS is going to be included in many more monthly releases
– And with this, the Sony PSP will also probably be removed the monthly releases. 
– I’ve been reading a lot of positive stuff about Amalur. Some even saying it’s better than Skyrim 
– Man, if you would have told my 11-year old NES playing self that one day, people will play video games for exercise I wouldn’t have believed you. I still have trouble wrapping my brain around the concept.
– I don’t know how many years Mario and Sonic have been appearing in guys at this point, but it still doesn’t feel right.
– I may pick up my first copy of Madden since I bought Madden 2003 for the Gamecube. All because of the cover athlete, Peyton Hillis, who plays for my team, the Cleveland Browns.
– The real question is: will someone play this for 700 hours?
– This is probably my only other pickup for August. I really enjoyed the Beta and I was invited to get in early, so I’ll be jumping at the chance for that.
– If I’m going to list Rail Simulator, I gotta list Sail Simulator. I’d really like to meet someone who’s played the first four games. Can it be that popular that they’re working on #5?!

– I still have a copy of the original Dead Space staring me in the face. I bet I could finish it before the 24th.
– AGAIN WITH THE DARTS!?
– I never got in to the Kingdom Hearts series, but this snuck up on me completely.
– Popcap continues their path down console domination. This game is what, two years old now? This is perfect for the DS.
– I think I’d try a Duke Nukem game on the DS!
– The MMO Hero game isn’t my thing, but I am interested in this game.

– Quite a good month for PS3 owners
– If you happen to be a PS3-only gamer, I implore you to get this game.
