It’s the monthly releases, yay hurray!
Week of November 4th
Gears of War 2 – Yes, I want Gears of War 2. No, I do not have time to play it. Yes, I don’t care. It’s been moved to the top of my Gamefly queue. We’ll see what happens when it arrives.
Gears of War 2 Amazon.com Exclusive Lancer – What’s that they say about nerds and their money?
Tom Clancy’s EndWar
Bond 007: Quantum of Solace
WWE Smackdown vs Raw ’09
Legendary– Casualty #1 of this stacked season.
Secret Service: Ultimate Sacrifice– I know nothing about this game, but with a name like “ultimate sacrifice,” I’m guessing that the goal of the game will be to die in the line of service. I hope it’s not an RPG. And I hope the first assignment isn’t to the first lady’s dog or something. That wouldn’t be very fun.
Week of November 11th
Call of Duty: World at War– I haven’t played many of the CoD games, I don’t see me starting now.
Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts
Mirror’s Edge– It’ll be tough, but I’m definitely making time for this game.
PES 2009 Pro-Evolution Soccer
Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe– Ehergeiz is chomping at the bit for this one.
Blitz: The League II
Shaun White Snowboarding– Not sure it makes sense to get this unless you can play it on the Wii-fit board.
Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3– Casualty #2. It’s a shame, I’ve been hearing good things about this one.
Week of November 18th
Left 4 Dead– So very much looking forward to this one. VERY MUCH.
Tomb Raider Underworld
The Last Remnant– Sad about not having a chance to play this one right away, if at all.
Need for Speed: Undercover
Lips
Naruto: The Broken Bond
Karaoke Revolution: Presents American Idol Encore 2 w/Microphone– Casualty #3… JUST KIDDING!

Week of November 18th
Animal Crossing: City Folk– I know this is going to be the exact same game as Animal Crossing on both the Gamecube and the DS. I know I’m going to run errands for a bunch of moronic animals that I’ll grow to hate. I know I’ll owe Tom Nook (who I also hate) an exorbitant mortgage. And yet I am compelled to buy this game. HELP ME.
Championship Foosball– No, that is not a typo.

Call of Duty: World at War
Avatar: The Last Airbender-Into the Inferno
WWE Smackdown vs Raw ’09
Populous– Tempting, but no.
Week of November 18th
Animal Boxing– Not the greatest name for a game, but I’ve heard this is actually a fun game. Maybe the sleeper of the Holiday? I think you hold the DS upside down with this title. Sounds interesting.
Robocalypse (Nintendo DS)
Luminous Arc 2
Cradle of Rome
Metal Slug 7
Rayman Raving Rabbids TV Party
Tomb Raider Underworld
Moon
Skate It
Need for Speed: Undercover
Tony Hawk’s Motion
Week of November 25th
Age of Empires: Mythologies
Chrono Trigger – Oh yes, she will be mine.
I’d just like to point out that I’m linking probably 25% of the new DS titles coming out this month. There are literally dozens of “Imagine Babyz”, “Petz” and “Cooking” games I’m skipping over. It’s ridiculous.
Week of November 4th

Week of November 11th
World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King Expansion Pack– Do we have any WoW players in the audience?
Call of Duty: World at War
Sacred 2: Fallen Angel
World of Goo
Gothic 3: Forsaken Gods– I’ve heard Gothic was always a good game with poor execution. I wonder if they finally got it right.
The Three Stooges Treasure Hunt Hijinks– I love anything Three Stooges, so I have to link this one.
The Orb & the Oracle
Week of November 18th

Great month ahead! What will you be picking up?
Played the Mirrors Edge demo on PSN, will definitely be getting it on PC later.
CAN NOT wait for Left 4 Dead. Pre-ordered, downloaded trailers etc in HD (some in 1080p 😮 )etc etc. Looks AMAZING! Got a group of friends that play CS:S, and they’re all getting it, will be a blast to play with them 😀
Currently, Fallout 3 is eating up ungodly amounts of time. I suggest you stay the hell away if you want to continue with your regular existence (work, showers, eating, sleeping, etc)
But if you want to be sucked into post-apocalyptic world where simply surviving is a challenge (and a lot of fun) an incredibly immersive, huge, interactive, living (slightly mutated, but still living 😉 ) world, you should check it out.
I too am VERY exited for Left 4 Dead. I’m a sucker for just about anything Zombie 😛 But I think I’ll be getting it for PC. The modding community extends the life of a game so much more then a console ever could. Plus this game seems more of a twitch one so your going to need some fast movements 😉
I’m very much looking forward to Valkyria Chronicles. It was the game of the year for me in terms of anticipation until about a month ago, when it got eclipsed by LBP.
I agree that Legendary’s release this week is going to kill it. It has always looked interesting but there is no way that it can stack up against stuff like Gears 2.
There are some other games I’d like to try too, Left 4 Dead being high among them, but I’m running low on game cash and time to play any new ones. I’m even passing on The Last Remnant for some time, though I expect to pick it up next year once I’ve cleared a few of the JRPGs I got back in September and have barely touched. Same with the new Naruto game on the 360. I just picked the one from last year (again) and hope that the price drops as fast on the new one as the old one.
And I expect to take Mirror’s Edge for a spin and eagerly look forward to the Chrono Trigger DS port.
@All Please remember to pee and eat.
I’ll hold it till the Check point/Safe house 😛
Nat: That’s what catheters and IV drips are for…
I’m sorry, there are games other than Fallout 3?
@FS – oh, I’m completely engrossed in Fallout 3. I need to do a post about it. I’m 8+ hours in and haven’t touched the main quest. L4D and GoW 2 will be about the only things that will pull me away.
@Woolfman – but L4D co-op on Live is going to be so amazing. We’ll miss you on there.
@Jason – hard to believe, but it’s true! Amazon said so!
Well maybe at the start but when everyone moves on to the next big game. I’ll still be able to play it and have the Modding community to make new maps for me 😉
@Tony – I hit 27 hours this afternoon…
Only now trying some real main story missions, because I’m frustrated with the Map and Compass, trying to find my way to certain objectives. It seems like every path I try and take is blocked. Maybe I’m missing something… Anyway, the game is freaking amazing. This game is the first in a looooonnngg time to really pull me in and make me WANT to play it. Most of the time, I’m bored, and figure there’s nothing really better to do. But damn, this game is really great.
Crap! I need to buy Fallout 3 now. First game I will have bought in over a year. Thanks a lot guys.
