In My Digital Hands

July 21, 2012 by Tony 2 Comments

This has been in my digital hands since Nat turned me on to this game almost three years ago, but the love has been reborn on the Xbox and I’m having a blast with this one, too.

If I was ambitious, I’d also list all the games I’ve been grabbing in the Steam Sale, but I’ve only added a few this time around. I am still holding out on buying The Walking Dead, but my willpower is running out.

My backlog, however, is not…

In My Hands

July 18, 2012 by Tony Leave a Comment

It truly is a sickness (going back TEN YEARS, PEOPLE) that I am helpless to resist. The fact that I have skipped an iteration the past few years is mini miracle unto itself.

If you need me, I’ll be bringing the North Royalton University Bears back to rightful place atop the College Football Throne.

In My Hands

July 12, 2012 by Tony Leave a Comment

Actually, this has been in my hands since after my laptop died back in May and I was looking for something else to play besides Mass Effect 3. (Not that ME3 was bad, I just needed a change of pace and Diablo III wasn’t an option)

July Releases

July 3, 2012 by Tony 4 Comments

It’s that time again, the long list of monthly releases. July brings its yearly edition of NCAA Football and not a whole lot else. The 3DS has some interesting titles and The Secret World looks promising, but I think I’ll be spending most of my July playing Diablo III and NCAA 13.

On to the releases:

Week of July 3rd
Test Drive: Ferrari Legends

Week of July 10th
NCAA Football 13 – I seemed to have fallen into a pattern lately of buying the NCAA game every other year, and I think I’ve enjoyed them much more this way. I skipped 12, so I definitely will be picking up NCAA 13.

Week of July 24th
miCoach by Adidas

Week of July 31st
Risen 2: Dark Waters Special Edition

Week of July 31st
The Last Story – I have to plead ignorance on this, but I’ve heard a lot of people talk about The Last Story, I just don’t know what the fuss is. If you’re picking this up, I’d love to hear what this game has in store.

No notable Nintendo DS releases for July.

Week of July 3rd
Theatrhythm: Final Fantasy

Week of July 10th
Rhythm Thief and the Emperor’s Treasure

Week of July 17th
Heroes of Ruin

Week of July 31st
Kingdom Hearts 3D Dream Drop Distance – Collector’s Edition
Myst – I’m really thinking that a full 3D version of Myst could be KILLER.

Week of July 3rd
The Secret World

Week of July 17th
Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic I and II PC Bundle Pack

Week of July 31st
Legends of Pegasus

Week of July 3rd
Test Drive: Ferrari Legends

Week of July 10th
NCAA Football 13

Week of July 24th

Week of July 31st

No notable Sony PS Vita releases for July.

Week of July 31st
Growlanser: Wayfarer of Time

Weekend Diabloing

May 18, 2012 by Tony 7 Comments

So this is the first weekend we get with Diablo III and wouldn’t you know it — my laptop (my brand spanking new (well, six months old new) Asus G53SX laptop) has up and died on me. So it’s in a Fed Ex box, on it’s way to Milpitas, California while I sit here, staring at a blank monitor that once was alive with the colors of New Tristram. It’s a cruel, cruel world we live in.

But don’t cry for me. I’ve got a backlog of 360 games, including a new game from Gamefly, to keep me busy. I left poor Commander Shepard in the lurch on Tuchanka, so I should probably get back to helping him, too.

I’m just going to assume everyone else is playing Diablo III. But if you’re not, what will you be playing this weekend?

It’s Diablo III Eve!

May 14, 2012 by Tony 6 Comments

Yes, unfortunately for us East-coasters, the game won’t be available until 3 AM. That probably means I won’t be playing as soon as it becomes available, but I will be setting my alarm a little earlier than normal to get a few minutes with the game before Real Life encroaches and makes me go to work. But I do plan on spending some quality time with the game come tomorrow evening.

I’d love to get a group of fellow buttonmashers together to for that first night of adventuring. I think I’ll be starting out playing the Demon Hunter. You?

Weekend Gaming

May 4, 2012 by Tony Leave a Comment

So we’ve only got two weeks until Diablo III assumes control of all weekend gaming for the next few months (years? decades?). So now is the time to get in the gaming before everything becomes overwhelmed by the flood of Diablo III goodness.

So for me, that will be playing as much Mass Effect 3 as I can squeeze in. I’ve turned a buddy on to the multiplayer aspect, so I expect we’ll be doing a lot of that (gotta buy those Premium Spectre Packs!). Why don’t you join us?

What will you be playing this weekend?

May Releases

May 4, 2012 by Tony 1 Comment

It’s time for a new look for the monthly releases. If you haven’t been to the site proper lately, I have installed a new “professional” looking theme that is currently under construction but it has given me much more flexibility with making things look sharper. So this month’s list of releases will have a different, new look and feel. I’ll be tweaking the site design as I have more time to work on it, but for now this is a bare bones look at the future of the site.

Not a ton of releases this except, oh I don’t know, the 800 POUND GORILLA in the room. Oh Diablo III… Have mercy on our souls…
