Dan Fouts

January 20, 2006 by Tony Leave a Comment

If you’ve watched college football on ABC, you’ve had to survive Dan Fouts and his cliche machine. Musberger is no better, switching allegiances faster than Benedict Arnold, but Fouts is the worse (if you exclude Kieth Jackson’s senility). Read “A Moment with Dan Fouts” from the Phat Phree. Hilarious stuff.

Bloglines quirk?

December 29, 2005 by Tony 11 Comments

I seem to have an issue with Bloglines and the two Weblogs, Inc. feeds I subscribe to (Joystiq and Engadget). Every item in their feeds is repeated three or four times. Has anyone else who’s subscribed to their feeds notice this? Is it from the ads they insert into th feed? It’s getting a little frustrating. I really enjoy reading both blogs but it’s almost to the point where it’s not worth it.

Is this a Bloglines issue or a feed isssue?

Feeding time!

December 19, 2005 by Tony 6 Comments

I know some buttonmashing.com readers prefer to use an RSS aggregator (I’ve said on more than one occasion the Bloglines is the best). I haven’t done any updating to my feed but I wanted to make available my feed to anyone who uses a feed reader.

If you use My Yahoo as your RSS reader, you can subscribe here:

If you use any other service, like to Google Desktop 2.0 sidebar, or Google IG, or Google anything or any number of other feed readers, you can use my Feedburner Feed, which gives me stats to how many people are using my feed and how they’re reading it. You can use this for the feed:

Child’s Play

December 7, 2005 by Tony Leave a Comment

I keep forgetting to mention Child’s Play, Penny Arcade‘s charity that provides video games to children’s hospitals around the country. They’ve been doing this for a few years now and it’s a great way to give to someone a little more needy than yourself. Christmas is a time for giving, so give away!

for the cheapskates

December 6, 2005 by Tony 5 Comments

Media Play has a bunch of games for $8.99 a piece (but apparently not online). Not just crappy, years-old sports games, either. I’m thinking about picking up Eternal Darkness (Gamecube) and X-Men Legends (Xbox). Not too shabby for less than twenty bucks.

Blogging will be light…

November 20, 2005 by Tony Leave a Comment

With family in town and the Thanksgiving weekend almost upon us, blogging here will be spotty at best until next week. I’m interested in seeing the reaction to the Xbox 360 launch around the gamingsphere, there won’t be much more going on here. No launch 360 for me.

I’ll be playing copious amounts of NCAA 2006 (my bro-in-law’s favorite game) and some other stuff on the side. I will hopefully be playing MKDS in the every once and a while but even that will be hard to do. I did play my first “friends” game against n0wak (the-inbetween.com). We both won two races and all four races were close. Hopefully I’ll see some of you other guys on soon!

AC on the DS

November 8, 2005 by Tony Leave a Comment

Must be video day here. Here’s a video of Animal Crossing on the DS. I’m still playing Animal Crossing on the Gamecube (the buttonDaughter loves it). Online Animal Crossing is going to be addicting. I need to talk some friends into buying their own DSes. (screen shots, too)
